Program philosophy

Students of the Materials Synthesis program will gain advanced, specialized skills related to materials design, precision synthesis, structural conversion, and molecular organization from the molecular level in accordance with the bottom-up approach, which seeks to create materials with advanced functionality and performance starting at the atomic and molecular level. In addition, they will carry out research and development activities with a high awareness of ethics and responsibility by working on the development of new substances and materials and master skills that will enable them to help build a sustainable society while gaining a broad, international perspective and research awareness as researchers and engineers involved in the creation of functional materials.
