Program philosophy

The Functional Chemistry program seeks to endow students with the basic scholastic abilities they will need to conduct a precise analysis of the functionality and action mechanisms of biologically relevant substances from the standpoint of chemistry as well as the advanced, specialized skills they will need to interpret molecular structure, electron state, intermolecular interactions, and other characteristics related to material functionality on the molecular level. It is also dedicated to helping them master the deep education and presentation skills they will need to pursue careers as researchers and engineers in fields related to functional materials chemistry on the international stage.
